When not performing, Kate has an active interest in facilitating Workshops and lecturing, using her theatrical experiences and knowledge to encourage and help develop communication and life skills within others.

Lecturing
She lectures at Rose Bruford College on the American Theatre Arts course to students within the module Professional Preparation; guiding and advising them about what to expect after graduation within the performance industry.
Creative Mentor
Kate is Creative Mentor within the Plus 1 scheme at Derby Theatre. She mentors children who are currently in foster care or are care leavers, who are particularly interested in pursuing a career in the arts.

Workshop Facilitation​
She works with Derby Theatre's Learning Department facilitating workshops in Schools on various projects/ shows.
​
She leads Workshops with Arts Bridge Charity to children and young people, using arts and theatre to inform and transform the lives of young people, specifically from B.A.M.E backgrounds and those from areas of high poverty.
​
She has taught English in Italy with Global English Theatre using Drama teaching games and techniques to support the development of the English Language, communication skills and creativity amongst the students.​

Medical Roleplay and Communication development
She has worked with Hands Up for Health in the Simulation and Interactive Learning centre at Guys and St Thomas' Hospital, performing Medical Roleplay with young people aged 12-21 to help develop their communication skills, strengthen life skills and give them hands on expereince of working within the Heath Sector.

Kate also has experience of teaching a range of subjects in Primary and Secondary Schools, to students of varying abilities.
